A day at the Beach!

We were looking for something new to do last Saturday and decided to head to the beach! Deer Creek State Park boasts a sprawling 2000 ft white powder beach that rivals any of those famous beaches in Florida. No, really, it wasn't a Florida grade beach, but for central Ohio, it really wasn't that bad. Shannon and I were a little hesitant at first about the idea, but we were both suprised how clean and uncrowded the beach was. The most important thing is that the kids absolutely loved it. It was nice for a change to be able to sit for a while and just let the kids "do their thing". We spent a solid 3 hours there and had to drag the kids away, since we didn't bring any "dinner" with us. We definitely will return.

Children's Museum of Indianapolis

Here are some pictures from our vacation to the Children's Museum in Indiana. Our trip started out with a quick stop at the Warm Glow Candle Outlet for some shopping. We then headed to the Holiday Inn just outside of Indianapolis, which had an attached waterpark. Kellen and Kate had a great time. They spent a solid 5 hours of swimming, before crashing in our hotel room later that night. All adults were also tired! The next day we headed to the Children's Museum. It was like COSI on steriods! They had a really impressive dinosaur wing, with a handful of dinosaur skeletons, including 2 T-Rex. The ambiance was impressive, almost Disney-like. They also had lots of other attractions, including train display, and a Curious George wing, with everything Curious George. Also had lots of hands-on attractions for the kids to play with...not to forget the indoor carousel! We had lunch at the museum and then went to see a live play "Curious George and the Dinosaur". This place is certainly worth another visit!
