Wind Storm of 2008

We'll We survived the big wind storm of 2008. We made out fairly well when compared to some of you. We lost power on Sunday afternoon about 4PM and regained power about 24 hours later. Our crabapple tree in the front yard lost a couple of primary limbs. Now it looks as if we have only 1/2 a tree. We didn't lose any roof shingles, like some of our neighbors, but some came loose and bent backward. Still trying to figure out how to get up there to glue them back down. Anybody have a 50ft extention ladder?

Trip to Ashtabula

Here are some video and pictures of our trip to Ashtabula last weekend. We had a chance to celebrate Kellen and Shannon's b-day's while we were up there. Although the weather could have been better, lake Erie was still an impressive sight. Thanks grandpa, for the wonderful Mexican dinner we had on Friday afternoon and thanks to everyone for all the wonderful gifts Shannon, Kellen and Reilly received.

First Day of Preschool

Well, the big day finally arrived...the first day of preschool! Eric and I celebrated the event by taking Kellen out to a quick lunch at one of his local favs (Arby's, of course) before bringing him to school. After staying for a few minutes, off we headed back to work for the rest of the afternoon. Kellen's response pretty well sums it up: as I waited in line to pick him up after school, he ran up to me and yelled in characteristically Kellen fashion, "Mom, I love school!" All in all, a successful start to the year!
